Why Is My Scanner Screen Black, White, or Grey?

If you are trying to scan a card in Ludex and your screen appears black, white, or grey, this is most commonly caused by camera permissions being turned off for the Ludex app. Follow the steps below for your device to resolve this.

Enable Camera Permissions on iPhone (iOS)

  1. Open your device Settings

  2. Scroll down and tap Ludex

  3. Tap Camera

  4. Toggle camera access to On

  5. Return to the Ludex app and tap Scan to confirm the issue is resolved

Enable Camera Permissions on Android

  1. Open your device Settings

  2. Tap Apps or Application Manager (this may vary by device)

  3. Find and tap Ludex

  4. Tap Permissions

  5. Tap Camera and select Allow

  6. Return to the Ludex app and tap Scan to confirm the issue is resolved

Still Not Working?

  • Close the Ludex app completely and reopen it after enabling permissions

  • If the issue persists, restart your device and try again

  • Make sure your Ludex app is up to date by checking the App Store or Google Play Store for any available updates
